Department of Pharmacology was started in 2009. The department is conducting research in different areas of pharmacology. Till date 79 students have completed their M. Pharm from the department and presently 15 M. Pharm students are doing their research projects on different projects like neuroprotection, anticancer activity of herbal extracts, nephroprotection, diabetes mellitus, diabetic neuropathy etc

The Faculty member of the department includes Dr. Syed Ayaz Ali, Dr. Hemant D. Une, Dr. Nikhil S. Sakle, Mr. Mohammed Mukhtar Khan, Dr. Khan Dureshahwar.

Five Research Scholars have completed their PhD from the department and 7 students are registered for PhD. The Faculties of the department have received a research and seminar grant of Rs. 8.5 Lakhs  from AICTE, ICMR.

The Faculties of the department have filed 5 patents out of which one patents have been granted. Faculties and students of the department have received many awards and recognitions of national and international repute. They have published more than 141 research papers in National and International journals.

The departmental teaching staff and M. Pharm students had actively participated & presented their research work in various National and International Conferences. The department is   equipped with many Instruments like Power Lab Data Acquisition system, Biochemical Autoanalyzer, Cooling Centrifuge, Pole Climbing Apparatus, Actophotometer, Rota rod etc.
